Push Notifications

Push notifications allow our app to communicate with you even when the app is not actively running. These notifications keep you informed about important updates, new ride requests, and messages.

iOS Notification Structure

1. Title

   • Bold text at the top of the notification
   • Identifies the app and notification category
   • Example: "No Rush: New Ride Request"

2. Subtitle (Optional)

   • Secondary text providing additional context
   • Example: "From: John Doe"

3. Body

   • Main notification message
   • Provides detailed information about the event
   • Example: "New ride request from Downtown to Airport"

Types of Notifications

Our app sends several types of notifications:

1. Ride Requests

   • New ride requests in your area
   • Updates to existing requests
   • Cancellations

2. Messages

   • New messages from riders or drivers
   • Important system messages

3. Ride Status Updates

   • Changes in ride status
   • ETA updates
   • Arrival notifications

4. Payment Updates

   • Payment confirmations
   • Receipt notifications
   • Payment issues

Interacting with Notifications

When you receive a notification, you can:

1. Tap to Open

   • Opens the app directly to the relevant screen

2. Long Press

   • Reveals extended notification options

3. Swipe Actions

   • Left: View notification options
   • Right: Clear notification

4. Notification Center

   • Access missed notifications
   • Clear individual or all notifications

You can customize your notification experience:

1. Device Settings

   • Control which notifications you receive
   • Set sound preferences
   • Enable/disable notification previews

2. App Settings

   • Choose notification categories

3. Do Not Disturb

   • Works with your device's quiet hours
